Intake air sensor
The intake air sensor is measuring the air temperature as it enters the engine. The detected air temperature is then used by the engine management system to calculate the ideal fuel-air mixture.
The most common reasons for a defect of the exhaust-gas-pressure-sensor are pollution, corrosion or damaged cables.
A defective intake air sensor will not send the correct signal to the engine-management system. The board computer will signal an error code and the engine will run unstable and cause higher fuel consumption as well as a loss of power.
